by Charles & Co Bamboo Cutting Board
Throughout the Caribbean region, there have been many uses for the versatile bamboo plant. In Trinidad and Tobago, during the Hindu festival of Divali, bamboo is used to make ornate structures that hold the little clay pots or "deyas" that are filled with oil and then lit with a natural wick in celebration. Lengths of the plant are also made to make loud celebratory cracks similar to fireworks. The plant provides beautiful leafy canopies as seen in Trinidad's locally known attraction, "Bamboo Cathedral."
This elegantly engraved Charles & Co logo mini bamboo cutting board makes a wonderful housewarming or hostess gift. Crafted out of sustainable bamboo, this is a unique present for those who love to cook. Use this board to cut fine herbs or as a single serve cheese and charcuterie board.
